What is a Whirligig?
Whirligigs are mechanical toys that follow the wind and spins
or moves in the flowing air. There are many different names
for whirligigs such as spinners, whirly, pinwheels and many others.
These toys have been around since early Egyptian times.
They have a long history through out time, and some are very collectable.
Some are even built to prevent rodents from burrowing in gardens and lawns
by making vibrations in the ground that repels them.
Whirligigs have been discovered all over the world.
